GUIDE FOR TURBULENT TIMES

Ladies and Gentlemen, cognitive (=informational, 'mental') blows are equal in strength and consequences to knockouts and other brain concussions🧠. If I am not directly involved in the ongoing events, the choice that will benefit me the most is to limit myself as much as possible from unnecessary information, from people 'in turmoil,' and to focus on my inner balance🧘‍♀️.

GUIDE FOR TURBULENT TIMES

All important news will inevitably find me. Time spent on imagined worries will be lost forever and may leave an indelible mark❤️‍🩹. I'd rather spend it on what makes me stronger, smarter, happier, healthier.

For Beginners

Many of you here are already far along the path of mindfulness. For those who are just beginning to work with their consciousness, I want to share some tips:

8 Steps to Harmony

1

Breathwork

Stress activates the sympathetic system. To calm down, you need to activate the parasympathetic system. I make my exhalations longer than my inhalations. Try video-guided practices.

2

Disabling the Brain's Shortcuts

Under stress, unconscious patterns are activated, and the brain switches off rational thinking. I postpone making important decisions whenever possible.

3

Grounding Through Writing

I write down everything that comes to mind on paper. When I've cooled down, I'll re-read it to work through my fears. Fears will take shape.

4

Bring Out Everything That Makes Me Stronger

Meditations, soft toys, embroidery. I limit access to everything that destabilizes (political bloggers, horror movies).

5

Spending Neurotransmitters

I spend adrenaline on useful things: cleaning, household chores, sports (in moderation).

I remember that the steps I take now will shape who I wake up as tomorrow. First, put on your own oxygen mask, then your child's.

If I have children with me, I don't lie to them about my emotional state. I explain what's happening in understandable language.

It's important to understand what result I want to achieve and how the goal will be experienced by me. Without this, there's a risk of wasting myself in vain.
